There are two types of virtual events one on living your life and the other on stress busting. Also offering a free 'phone consult' service. Breaks from caring (commonly referred to as respite)Ad hoc and End of Life, bookable respite (break for a couple of hours during day time hours) for carers provided by SPDNS Homecare (via Southend Carers Hub) is not taking any new bookings. However, if a carers is already registered with Southend Carers, has received respite from SPDNS Homecare previously and is in desperate need (such as needing to go to hospital) SPDNS may consider the request.01702 393933

Carers Emergency Planning and Support(support for the cared for if their unpaid family carer is suddenly unable to continue providing care because of illness or other emergency)Carers Emergency Plan Services is not taking any new carers. If a carer already has a carers emergency plan in place call the telephone number printed on their Emergency Respite card or call Ashley Care directly on 01702 343789 option 5 to access Carers Emergency Respite Service (CERS). Ashley Care will assess each case and attend as quickly as possible. If help is required out of office hours please contact 07872 637341For existing clients only. Call 01702 343789 option 5 (Office hours) and 07872 637341 (Out of Office hours) in an emergency.
Carers FirstCaring support that covers Castle Point and Rochford. Any request for face to face support will be strictly limited and assessed on a case by case need. Carers Hub remains open. Evening virtual drop in will continue to run every Wednesday evening via webchat from 6-8pm. Identifying carers at risk and initiating wellbeing calls to ensure they are safe and supported. Will continue to provide telephone, email, webchat and online support to carers. Plan to hold regular live wellbeing sessions with a support workers.
