Therapist & Coach
Phone number: 07739 426375
We are delighted to welcome Geraldine Meadows, MBACP: therapist & coach to our centre.
"I believe you can feel better than you do now: that you can know and understand yourself better and feel both lighter and more secure in yourself. I also believe firmly in the power of connection, and communication, to help achieve these goals."
"I work in an integrative way, blending elements of person centred, existential and psychodynamic theory, working in a creative way to suit your needs.
Person-centred: an approach which considers you the expert in your own life and in which you are met with a set of core conditions such as empathy, congruence and positive regard.
Existential: a philosophical approach which focuses on the human condition as a whole, dealing with challenges associated with living such as relationships, freedom and responsibility and the quest to find meaning.
Psychodynamic: this type of work aims to shine a light on the unconscious - to build awareness of what's happening as a deeper level within, helping people to know and understand themselves more fully and building awareness to bring about change.
My training also includes a qualification in coaching - I want know what you want out of life and to work with you to discover how to get there.
Starting therapy takes courage. It takes effort and belief that you can feel better than you do now. I've been there and know how much it takes. From day one, the rewards can be rich - you can feel lighter, brighter and better understood. The process of therapy can be a really fun adventure. I experience a lot of laughter and moments of mirth with clients. It’s a journey of learning and discovery. I am here to join you on the journey -- please get in touch to take the first step."
Geraldine has an MA in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow and a PG.Dip (Dist) in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their strict ethical framework & code of conduct.
Thank you for reading my bio, which says just a little about me and my practice. I am an integrative psychotherapist, 25 years of professional experience, yet it still never ceases to amaze me how incredible human beings are. The intrinsic human capacity to survive and overcome many complex experiences, but not only to survive, but to use that survival as a platform for thriving and developing personal identity and development, as a way of being in the world that is authentic to you!
My specialisms are children, young people and adults too, complex developmental trauma, neuro divergence, supporting parents, group work and connecting to your individual spirituality in whatsoever way you embrace your beliefs. In all of this kaleidoscope of experiences the fundamental driving force for optimal health is the brain/body connection. I ethically adhere to all western psychological compliances and practice, whilst holding the Millenia upon Millenia of Eastern and Rest of the World knowledge, beliefs and teachings, firmly in my thinking. My experience has been gained in Specialist CAMHS; Specialist Organisation for Adopted & Looked After Children; Private Independent Practice & Voluntary Humanitarian Organisation seeking to support those affected by war and natural disasters worldwide.
I welcome and hold in the highest esteem your courage to heal and expand.

My name is Cecilia Carlotti. I am an accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with a background in Clinical Psychology.
I have almost 15 years of experience working in mental health with children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of needs. My passion and speciality is helping adults and young adults experiencing temporary and/or long term mental health difficulties, assessing what is most appropriate to every person’s need.
My approach is very attuned and each individual need is carefully assessed case by case. I work with you to define the parameters of the treatment, with the final purpose of increasing self-awareness and building up internal resources. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space that allows exploration of overwhelming and complex emotions.
The therapy approach I work with is called psychodynamic. This kind of therapy is valuable both in the case of particular emotional difficulties and mental health issues (such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or complex relationship patterns), as well as simply to deepen the individual’s understanding of him/her/them-selves.
Patients attend a fifty-minute session once per week. The terms of the therapeutic contract, which include time, frequency and breaks, will be agreed together during the consultation process.
I can offer both brief 16 sessions therapy and open ended. Online therapy is also offered over either Zoom or Skype, on the same modalities (terms and conditions) of face to face.
I work both in English and Italian language.
I hold the following qualifications:
Member of BPC (Accredited); Postgraduate Professional Qualification in Intercultural Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Tavistock&Portman Foundation Trust); MSc and BA in Clinical Psychology

I am also trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy and Mentalisation Based Therapy both of which have an interpersonal focus with the aim of helping you to develop more fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others.
Becoming a therapist was a gradual process for me, involving varied life experience, my own journey through therapy, a dedicated course of training and 18 years of clinical experience in different settings. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to the BACP’s code of ethics which stresses the importance of a safe and reliable setting, confidentiality and continual professional development.

Monica Chatterjee
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist
Phone number: 07766 302859
monicachypnotherapy@protonmail.com
My name is Monica Chatterjee, I use the Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy approach, an evidence-based method, to work with you to understand what's really going on and help you to make the changes you need to break through your problems.
I can help you with overcoming anxiety (including severe anxiety, GAD and social anxiety), stress, insomnia, panic attacks, low esteem, a phobia, asserting yourself and problems which may not clearly fit into one of these categories but are blocking your potential or peace of mind.
It's helpful if we can identify a particular situation/s where you have a problem so we can create a clear goal and plan for how to get there. Often a problem is so ingrained that we are accustomed to it and don't realise the extent it affects our life.
Facing one issue with the right support can give you the tools and confidence to continue breaking down other blocks to become more free and fulfilled. My clients have told me I have a kind manner that puts them at ease and helps them feel safe throughout the process, they've also been amazed by the results.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy - UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.
Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (with Registration) - London Southbank University.
BA Hons Psychology and Philosophy.
I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
If you are interested, please get in touch by phone or email and we can arrange a free, no obligation, phone call (approx. 20 mins) so you can tell me about your problem, I can tell you how I would help you and we can decide if we'd work well together.
As a dedicated therapist with a unique blend of experience and education, I am passionate about helping people navigate the complexities of mental health and emotional well-being. With a background that combines law enforcement, psychology, and counselling, I bring a comprehensive perspective to the therapeutic process.
I hold a degree in Law and Criminology, which has provided me with a solid understanding of the legal and societal factors that influence behaviour. My pursuit of knowledge led me to earn a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and Criminology, where I delved into the psychological aspects of criminal behaviour and the intricacies of the human mind. This academic foundation is complemented by a Level 5 Diploma in Psycho-therapeutic Counselling, equipping me with the skills to provide effective, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Before transitioning to therapy, I served as a police officer for 16 years. This experience has given me invaluable insights into the challenges faced by people in high-stress environments, including issues related to trauma, anxiety, and depression. I understand the pressures that come with societal expectations and the stigma that often surrounds mental health discussions. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings.
I believe that every individual has the potential for growth and healing. My approach is collaborative and tailored to meet your unique needs, drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you develop coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and enhance your overall quality of life. Whether you are dealing with stress, relationship issues, or past trauma, I am here to support you on your journey toward self-discovery and resilience.
If you are ready to take the first step toward a healthier, more fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work towards understanding your challenges and building a path forward. Your mental health matters, and I am here to help you navigate it with compassion and expertise.
Hi, I'm Alicia, a fully BABCP-accredited CBT therapist specialising in people-pleasing, self-worth issues, and burnout recovery. Based between Southend-on-Sea and Leigh-on-Sea, I help adults break free from the exhausting cycle of constantly saying yes and believing they must earn love through usefulness.
I specialize in helping if you:
- Struggle to say no without overwhelming guilt, or fear of rejection
- Feel like you're "too much" or "not enough"
- Experience that knot in your stomach when disappointing others
- Feel invisible when you're not being helpful
- Feel ‘not good enough’ and are exhausted from constantly proving your worth
- Feel like you’ve lost yourself from always thinking about others first
My Approach:
I’ll create a therapy plan tailored just for you- one that doesn’t just manage symptoms, but helps you untangle the guilt, self-doubt, and invisible pressure that have kept you stuck. Using evidence-based CBT techniques, we’ll gently challenge unhelpful thoughts and patterns while addressing past experiences that make boundaries feel unsafe.
Over time, clients often describe feeling lighter, reconnecting with themselves, resting when they need it, or finally saying no without spiraling into guilt. The shift is relief: less noise in your head, more trust in your gut, and space to actually enjoy life again.
My Journey:
I've walked this path and I know firsthand that rest can feel unsafe and saying no can feel selfish. I don't live that way anymore, and I can help you break these cycles too. My own personal experiences have transformed how I support others: with deep empathy and practical tools that actually work.
Working Together:
With 8+ years’ experience in NHS and private practice, I offer in-person sessions at Dawn Lister Therapy Centre and online across the UK.
Ready to start? Email me at hello@theselfworththerapist.com to book your free consultation or ask any questions.
