I have always been interested in sport, physical activities, health and travelling. I played rugby for SRFC for 20 years and have hiked and backpacked extensively in Britain, South America and the Himalayas.
When I returned from travelling I initially trained in therapeutic massage at the London College of Massage graduating in 2007, then subsequently studied at the British School of Shiatsu-Do receiving my Shiatsu Practitioner Diploma in 2012 after 3 years of training. As with most Eastern disciplines Shiatsu recognises there is no separation between the mind and the body in treatment and diagnosis. The traditional techniques of balancing the energy in the meridians that flow along the body, acupressure and ampuku (Japanese stomach massage) are directly related to treatment of the person as a whole. This integration of mind, body and spirit has subsequently guided all my further training especially that of Shin Tai, which is a development of Shiatsu pioneered by Saul Goodman, alongside the more advanced soft tissue skills I gained in obtaining my STT Diploma with the LSSM.
I am a Senior member of The Shiatsu Society and have been a registered practitioner with the Society since 2013. As a member I am fully insured and adhere to their Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics and registered with the CNHC. I am also a member of the ISRM, on their register of therapists and fully insured for remedial soft tissue techniques.
Healing Diets coaching is a holistic approach to nutrition, suitable for anyone facing challenges with their health from the very minor to the very major. It’s also useful for those who wish to boost their energy and health or improve specific facets like sleep or digestion.
During our consultation we deep dive into your food history and I offer practical, personalised advice for healing and health that considers the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects of your wellbeing.
As a Healing Diets Coach, I am not able to diagnose, but I will use the science of food and expertise in nutrition and its impact on the body to create a holistic healing plan for you after our consultation. The plan will be completely personalised to help you treat your symptoms naturally and tackle the root cause of the problem, so that symptoms don’t return. The plan provides you with everything you need to take responsibility for meeting your health objectives.
I whole heartedly believe that we all have the innate capacity to heal, we just to have to support the body to do what it is made to do.
Laura obtained her qualification from the School of Natural Medicine and is a member of the Complementary Medical Association.
Hanna Dowty
Advanced Bodywork Therapist & registered TRE® Provider
Phone number: 07950 116 496
roseandbirdholistic@gmail.com
Hello, I am Hanna, an advanced bodywork therapist & registered TRE® provider.
I work with everyone, but specialise in working with clients who suffer with stress, anxiety and held emotion/trauma. Offering massage therapy, fascial release bodywork and TRE® (Tension, stress & trauma release exercises).
Having personally suffered from burn out, anxiety & complex PTSD, somatic bodywork & TRE® have been a big part of my healing process. I am a huge advocate for using bodywork & movement to release emotional holding within the body.
Fascial Release Bodywork is a gentle and effective treatment for chronic pain, scar tissue release, reduced mobility and releasing emotional holding patterns from the body. It recognises and works with the connection between our physical & emotional health giving us the opportunity to heal at the deepest level.
It can help to release the long term effects of trauma left in the body, whether through accident, surgery, inflammation, birth trauma or emotional trauma.
TRE® Is an effective and empowering tool for anyone suffering with mild to severe stress, anxiety, chronic pain and on a deeper level held emotion/trauma. TRE allows us to bring online the body's natural tremor mechanism to discharge adrenaline & cortisol from the nervous system and restore balance within the body. Once learnt, it’s self administered and a wellbeing tool you can use for life!
TRE is offered as a 1 to 1, group & workshop basis in person & online.
To find out more or book your treatment please contact me on 07950 116 496 or visit roseandbirdbodywork.com | Registered with The Federation Of Holistic Therapists.
“You’ve given me an outlet, a way of processing my emotions & healing on a level I didn't think I was ever going to be capable of. I feel connected to my body again.”

Cat Stevens
Craniosacral Therapy
Somatic & Energetic Trauma Integration
Shamanic Healing
Nature Connections
Phone number: 07714 098734

@somaticlandscapes
Cat helps you bring harmony to your inner landscape and come back into greater connection with the natural world in which you are interwoven.
Our bodies are vast ever changing landscapes and I'm here to provide a space for your body to be met in all its multidimensionality. The human body and nature are not separate and I hold the notion that we can live as full expressions of the interdependence we have with the natural world. Our continual unfolding is infinite, a spiraling relationship of reciprocity and vastness within ourselves and the larger supporting fields that surround us.
We are also raised in cultures of trauma, which cause us to contract and lose our natural fluidity on the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, energetic, and relational levels. Living in post-traumatic physiology disrupts our sense of well-being, wholeness, and health and separates us from our connection with the wider supporting fields.
I offer 1-1 sessions in Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic & Energetic Trauma Integration as well as Somatic Energy Healing classes online and in-person. Although separate modalities, they overlap and complement one another as I weave in extensive training in Andean Spirituality, Embodied Sexuality, Trauma Resolution, Shamanism, my ancestral lineage, and life experience and innate gifts.
I hold a gentle and non-judgemental space where the natural blueprint of your health and vitality can be more easily accessed and begin to flow. Expanded awareness and capacity create the conditions for a deeper embodiment of self and spirit to emerge.
My sessions support a return to the undercurrent of health and well-being that is always available for you to widen into. Together we explore how we can stay in harmony within our somatic landscapes and in reciprocity with the wider living field of nature that runs through us and sustains us.
1-1 sessions provide a place for us to explore your somatic landscape with attuned care and compassion. We create a space that encourages enough curiosity for the body to feel safe and to be met in its multidimensionality through gentle inquiry.
The intention is to meet and metabolise trauma imprints, unresolved patterns of the nervous system, and unmet needs including ancestral, past-life, interpersonal, inner child, and soul, whilst deepening your connection with your spirit and ancestral allies. Through expanded awareness and capacity a deeper embodiment of self and spirit is attainable.
