A workshop or course helps you delve a little deeper into the topic you are studying. Dawn offers workshops and courses running from 2.5 hours to 8 weeks long. Her light hearted and relaxed style, ensures that learning is an experience you enjoy whilst making sure that the teachings are valuable to you in your day to day life.
We all learn differently so her style is simple and direct, combining listening, talking, practical and visual methods for a well rounded and robust approach. Dawn has been offering mindfulness, yoga and women's empowerment groups for 27 years and brings a wealth of experience and compassion to every event she hosts.
2.5 hour Introduction to Mindfulness
A simple practical introduction to the practises of mindful meditation. A great workshop to gain an understanding of the basic principles of mindfulness. A practical and engaging workshop.
Four Week Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, Self Compassion, Letting Go, Compassion for others. A longer more robust practise led course. With plenty of time to ask questions, develop and understand the skill of being present. There is home practise between sessions. You can bring your challenges to an experienced teacher to discuss each week.
Half Day Silent Retreat
Silence is a powerful container in which we can face our habitual thinking and doing patterns. Using simple mindfulness practises we lean into our challenging feelings and thoughts, develop wisdom, resilience and self compassion. A half day is a perfect introduction to silent led practise.
Full Day Silent Retreat
Silence is a powerful container in which we can face our habitual thinking and doing patterns, using simple mindfulness practises we lean into our challenging feelings and thoughts, develop wisdom, resilience and self compassion. A full day retreat allows more space for reflections, longer periods of stillness and self enquiry.
Women's Empowerment Half Day Retreat
Together we open a sacred space for healing, soul wisdom, deep listening, sharing, moving, and rest. We women are tired so tired of trying to hold it all together, to be perfect, to achieve. The time for the divine feminine is now, the time to heal is now, the time to hear your inner voice is now. The time to reclaim your story is now. On these special afternoons/days we reclaim the art of the feminine, we share, nourish, express, make, listen, cry, laugh, eat, talk, move and re-remember all that we are and all that we dream of and can be.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction 8 Week Course
This 8-week course is the “gold standard” for practitioners the world over, written by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Following a programme of mindfulness based meditation practises which develops the skills needed to live your life fully and peaceably as life’s challenges arise. Practises include sitting and walking meditations, body scanning, and mindful movement, self compassion and compassion for others practises. Home practise is essential and you should be prepared to put aside 45 minutes 5 days out of 7 for your practise.
Each weekly session is 1 1/2 to 2 hours long, the retreat day is 4 hours long and includes refreshments (if we are out of lockdown.) All meditations are offered on download and are included in the price.
The MBSR course has allowed me to deepen my practice and really widen my lens to a whole host of meditations, all of which have a purpose, and support me with daily challenges, celebrations and most importantly, provide me with a clarity for awareness, kindness and compassion, not only for myself but for those around me.
Dawn, is an experienced teacher, who’s teaching style provides plenty of time to practice, ask questions and really immerse yourself in the wonderful journey of meditation.
This course has truly changed my outlook on life and everyday I look forward to giving me the time to spend time with me.

I'd wanted to try a mindfulness course for ages and so, when I saw that Anahata offered just what I wanted, I signed up.
I never expected it to be such a journey, and found myself genuinely shocked at how much time I spend ruminating, overthinking and living in the past and the future. This eight weeks has shown me how to bring myself into 'now', to notice, to appreciate, to breathe.
I'm a 'work in progress' of course, but that's ok, I'm enjoying my practice. Dawn was as friendly and approachable as ever, and delivered the eight weeks in a really engaging way.
